LAM Research: New Insights & Unanswered Questions

 Dr. Joel Moss

Dr David Sabatini Dr. Joel Moss is a principal investigator at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Research in his laboratory is focused on signal transduction pathways in LAM. He also sees the largest number of LAM patients of any clinician in the United States. 

 

 

Dr. Myles Brown

Dr Joseph Avruch Dr. Myles Brown is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. The overall aim of his lab's research is the elucidation of the factors underlying the hormonal reposonsiveness of human cancers. This work is focused primarily on the role of steroid hormone receptors and their coregulators.

 

 

Dr. George Demetri

Dr Joseph Avruch Dr. George Demetri is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His work centers on molecular targeted agents and signal transduction inhibitors. A major aim of the work in his lab is to translate the basic biology of sarcomas into new therapeutics directed at novel targets.

 

 


Please join us Thursday, November 30th as Dr. Joel Moss (NIH-NHLBI) discusses key challenges in research on Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Dr Myles Brown and Dr. George Demetri will be discussants and facilitate exchange on topics raised by this talk and potential therapeutic interventions. Following this forum, we will break for a light dinner with continued informal discussion.
